¡Bienvenidos a la clase de español! Welcome to 7th grade Spanish class at Charles P. Murray Middle School! This year we will continue to focus on learning to listen, speak, read, and write in Spanish as we learn about the countries where Spanish is spoken and how to communicate with speakers of Spanish. Since culture is also an important part of a language, expect our class to also focus on the culture of the countries where Spanish is spoken. Don't worry if you didn't take Spanish last year, we will start at the beginning. If you have any questions or concerns, please email me at [email protected].
Materials needed for class:
spiral notebook (1 subject is fine)
pencils
(optional) digital device & earbuds

Grading Scale How am I graded in Spanish class? Remember we are on a journey to communicate and connect with real people who speak real Spanish. For this reason, I will grade you based on your proficiency in communicating in the language. We will assess/grade our performance based on proficiency levels that tell us what we CAN do with the language. Please read all feedback I give you because you will often have an opportunity to raise your score if needed.
(Powerschool label - Projects) Major assessments (Test/Quiz/Project showing me what you can do) 60% of final grade (Powerschool label - Classwork) Minor assessments (Practice activities, exit slips) – 40% of final grade
